Willand Biogas LLP, prior to ceasing operations to trade, generated and supplied upgraded biomethane gas and electricity to the respective national power grids. The plant has a biogas production capacity of 1,000m3/h.
- Digester plant incudes two Huning feeder units, two primary digester tanks of 3,100m3 capacity each, two pumping stations, three 4,900m3 capacity digester bio-gas tanks, propane tank farm with Uni Flare, Siemens Gas Entry Unit
- Purac Puregas AB, 900S HC CApure Biogas upgrading plant
- GE Jenbacher CHP 500kWe with Stamford generator
- ICI Caldie 8.9 bar bio-gas boiler
- Renewable Heat Incentives (RHI) accreditation potentially available for transfer with the plant
- Feedstock storage area, potential for food waste processing in purpose built facilities, which are to be completed
- The site, extending to 4.2 acres (1.7 hectares), is held on a lease expiring in March 2038 at a current rent of c.£140,000 per annum (subject to indexation)
- Scope, with plans already produced, to significantly scale operations (subject to securing appropriate consents)
