We are pleased to offer for sale the business and assets of an AD facility with the potential of generating c.48 GWh of bio-methane per annum supplying two combined heat and power systems (CHPs) connected to the national grid. The facility was operational until 2021 when it was mothballed due to funding issues. Significant investment has been made in refurbishing the plant and increasing capacity to optimise utilisation of the CHPs with a view to recommencing operations. The salient details are as follows:

• Capacity to process c.40,000 tonnes of farm waste, energy crops, and food waste per annum.
• Two combined heat & power systems with 1.8 MW capacity.
• Accredited under the government’s Feed in Tariff scheme with ability to sell directly into the National Grid. FiT incentives are due to expire in 2031 and 2033 for the two CHPs.
• Eligible for an RHI tariff under the government’s Renewable Heat Incentive programme to support renewable energy projects.
• Benefits from a substantial land bank under lease to grow crops for feedstock.
• Further investment is required to make the plant operational.
